Samsung become world's largest technology company by sales... profits increases more than 80%

Samsung's Q4 Profit Rides High On Galaxy Smartphones

Strong sales of Samsung's new SIII smartPhone has helped Samsung Electronics to increase its operating profits by more than 80%. This means Samsung has beaten the market expectations, and and the tech giant has ensured its position as the world`s biggest technology company by sales.

The heft Samsung sales figures were revealed when the company its current financial statement on Friday, October 5th. Samsung company recorded strong increases in both revenue and profit. It's because of the strong global sales of its Galaxy smartphones.

Revenue for the third quarter of this year was between $46 billion and $47.7 billion, up from $37.2 billion a year before; meanwhile, operating profit was between $7.1 billion and $7.5 billion, up from $3.8 billion a year before.
