Improvisation II: Final Project Proposal TITLE OF GROUP -- DANCERS "A Miracle" Lillian Brace Carleigh Chitwood Rebecca Loo Matthew Palfenier Chelsea Victoria TITLE OF PIECE "To Be Fulfilled" GOALS The goal of this improvisation is to articulate the relationships between a string of individuals who gain strength and support through baring one another's burdens physically, through contact improvisation. OBJECTIVES In order to show the journey of each of us as individuals the first third of the piece will be exploring our surroundings without acknowledging the others in the space. Each individual will also have their own boundaries during this first section which will communicate the sense of isolation. Burdens will be represented by the pouring of weight and falling down to the floor or into whatever structure we are near/on. In order to show the relationships development we will start off the second portion with light contact which will develop into more complicated movement and weight bearing as it progresses. The lifts will symbolize our ability to carry one another throughout our journey of life. If a fall occurs is may represent our failings as people, in that we are not perfect, but faulty. Strength will be seen in our physical ability to mount and carry one another through space.
