Playback singer Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha Bhosle has committed suicide at the singer's Peddar road home in Mumbai. Varsha Bhosle, who had tried to kill herself earlier as well, reportedly shot herself in the wee hours of the morning.. Asha bhosle wasnt in the house at the time as she is in Singapore for a concert. It was neighbours who heard the gunshot after which police were called to the Prabhu Kunj building at Peddar Road in Mumbai where Varsha had been staying with her mother after a divorce. 50 year old Varsha Bhosle is believed to have attempted suicide earlier in 2008 by taking a drugs overdose. The singer and columnist was also believed to have suffered from depression a condition that worsened after her divorce from husband Hemant Kenkare.
