ARGENTINIAN FLAGSHIP A.R.A LIBERTAD..

The hedge fund boss took control of the Tallship A.R.A Libertad with a court order in Ghana this week.

The seizure was because of Argentina's huge unpaid debts.

Singer's Elliot management company owns $1.6 billion of Argentine debts. In addition to the Elliot total Argentina at 2001 owed a massive $95 billion in unpaid debt.

it seems Singer had trailed the progress of the Libertad that was on a worlwide cruise and seized his chance when the ship caloled into Ghana.

The ship said to be worth $10 million is said to be a huge blow to the Argentine authority but pales into insignificance when considering the unpaid debt to the Elliot corporation alone.

Singer may have been rather fortunate in having the Ghanaain Court supporting his application.

The trainees aboard the ship may be rather worried about their fates in this situation.
