is taking his self to new limits by planning to execute a stunt in which he will remain standing for 72 hours, while being electrocuted with million volts of current
David Blaine is known to push some boundaries when it comes to doing what no one has done, and now the magicians is going to perform another stunt which is sure to shock everyone. David Blaine's latest stunt will involve him standing for 72 hours, while high-voltage electric current will pass through him. How David Blaine plans on saving from being roasted, will be by wearing a chain-mail suit and metal headgear.
David Blaine's stunt will take place at Manhattan's Pier 54 and people will also be there to witness the shocking event. The voltage of electric current which is going to pass through is going to be 1 million volts, which is considered to be quite high. The electric charge will flow from one Tesla coil to another, across his metal-clad body and the entire event will continue for 72 hours.
David Blaine will remain standing for 72 hours, without food and sleep and the only thing which he will be having is water. Blaine will go without food and a night's sleep and the event will begin on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET. This is not the first time that Blaine will be testing his endurance, as he has done that many times before. In the past, Blaine has endured such stunts like sitting in a box suspended above the River Thames in London for 44 days with water only, standing unharnessed on a 100-feet high pillar in New York for 35 hours, and the like.
While most of the people are quite concerned for David Blaine's safety, physicists and experts are of the opinion, that it is going to be quite a safe event. "He has a conducting suit, all the current is going through the suit, nothing through his body," John Belcher, a physicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, told Life's Little Mysteries . "There is no danger in this that I see. I would do it, and I am 69 years old and risk-averse. I just would have to take a nap."
David Blaine will also wear noise-muting ear plugs, so that he does not go deaf with the crackling noise of the electricity. In addition to that, he will be provided with one tube which will go to his mouth for drinking water, and another through which he will urinate.
