Tibetan Protest During Hu Jintao's Visit to India

The Chinese President Hu Jintao's three day visit to India in November 2006 was marred by huge protests by Tibetans. A huge number of Tibetans and non Tibetan supporters across India carried out various activities mainly due the recent incident at the Nangpala Pass where two innocent Tibetans were killed by the Chinese border security personnel. Tibetan Youth Congress strongly condemned his visit to India as Mr. Hu Jintao, when head of Tibetan Autonomous Region Government in 1989, imposed martial law in Tibet and ordered violent crackdown of peaceful demonstrators, killing thousands of innocent Tibetans. Mr Hu is believed to have acquired the present post in China as a reward for the killings he had spearheaded in Tibet. He is a ruthless butcher who only deserves protest and condemnation where ever he visits.
