A married father-of-three has been stabbed to death near his home in County Tyrone after out celebrating his daughter's 18th birthday.
Eamonn Hughes, was attacked in the Lisnahull estate in Dungannon in the early hours of Saturday morning by a gang who were refused entry into the private party.
It's believed the gang hijacked a taxi and waited for the man near his home where it's believed he was driven at and then stabbed in the chest.
There were disturbances in the area, during which several other people were injured.
Two women, one believed to be his 18-year-old daughter, are believed to have been struck by a car as they attempted to help him.
The PSNI said a number of people have been arrested and have appealed for information.
Mr Hughes' father, Francis, was killed by loyalists 18 years ago.
