46-year old Alexander Fishenko is a man with several identities – born in Kazakhstan, he is a naturalized US citizen who also holds a Russian passport.

He and 10 of his colleagues have now been charged by the FBI with being Russian spies who used to sell US technology secrets to Moscow – 3 of those charged are at present in Russia.

This alleged scheme came to light shortly after the exposure of the glamorous Russian deep-cover agent Anna Chapman who were apprehended and deported to Russia.

This has been reported in telegraph.co.uk of dated 4th of October 2012.

Alexander has been charged with illegally exporting cutting-edge microelectronics through his Houston-based company Arc Electronics Inc and also of operating as an unregistered agent of the Russian government inside the US.

They had been operating since October-2008 and the parts they handled were a wide range of military systems including radar and surveillance systems, missile guidance systems and detonation triggers – these are not manufactured in Russia.

It seems the products used to be shipped with false declaration – the export certificate would read ‘components for fishing boats’.
