The main person who played the role in Mumbai attacks, Ajmal Kasaab asked the Indian President for the sympathy appeal. According to the Indian media, the appeal was made in the prison through the jailer to the President Pratab Mukharjee. On February 2012, Ajmal Kasaab sent the application to the supreme Court to change his punishment from being hanged to being jailed to his entire life period which was rejected.
