In an unprecedented speech Friday in South Carolina, Presidential hopeful Barack Obama promises, "People of South Carolina, people of the world, this is our time, this is our moment. That is, unless you live in apartment 3L at 1254 Holden St., you watched Money Train on TBS last night at 3 a.m., and your name is Nate Walsh."
The Free Thought Society, the Internet's imminent political forum for the highly intellectual, reports that the Senator was very clear on this issue. " 'I have always said that the change we seek will not come easy, that it will not come without its share of sacrifice and struggle,' Obama continued. 'And the last thing we need is dead weight like Nate Walsh adding another 20 or 30 years to the process.' "
According to the report, the Illinois senator took a bold stance, arguing that Walsh is "a lone aspect of America he doesn't believe in, a citizen who can languish in the past for all he cares", and, according to Obama himself, "on top of everything else, [he is] kind of a jerk."
Personally I applaud Obama for his strong stance on this issue. Finally it appears that the issues will be heard, and the American people will be allowed to view the candidates dealing with tough political situations, seeing once and for all their ability to truly lead this nation.
McCain, according to this report, also applauded Obama's determination, but indicated that if he were elected President, he would rid the nation of Nate Walsh within 48 hours. The world is so lucky to have such fine leadership this election year, ready and willing to deal with the tough issues.
God Bless America!
