graced the cover of Marie Claire's November U.K. edition, admitting to the magazine that she falls in love too easily. The 22-year-old singer, who has a string of bad romances, also revealed that she was ready to move on from heartbreak to happier relationships.
Speaking to the November issue of Marie Claire, Taylor revealed that she finds it easy to fall in love if it's the right person.
The country singer, who famously writes songs about her ex-boyfriends, told the publication, “Even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you’re standing in a pile of the ash of what it once was thinking, 'Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?' But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks and, bam, you’re there. In love again,” according to a report by Daily Mail.
Talking about her history of failed relationships, Taylor said, “I think I have to trust that you end up with the person you’re supposed to end up with, and that everything in between is there to teach you stuff. Plus it makes for great stories when you’re older.”
Taylor Swift is currently dating 18-year-old student Conor Kennedy. The “You Belong With Me” hitmaker has a history of brief romances with some high-profile men.
Back in 2008, she dated, 23, for three months, but the relationship ended on a sour note, as the singer allegedly dumped her in a 27-second phone call. According to reports, the breakup was the theme behind Taylor's track “Forever And Always”.
In 2009, Taylor had a fling with her “Valentine's Day” co-star,, 20 - which prompted her to write “Back To December”. Moreover, the singer’s fleeting romance with notorious ladies’ man , 34, inspired her song “Dear John”.
Taylor Swift also dated Hollywood hunk, 31, and the two-month romance was the subject matter of her latest single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”.
Speaking to Marie Claire, Taylor confessed that she doesn’t warn her boyfriends at the start of their relationship that she will write songs about them if they make her cross.
“Ha! Well… it’s not like it’s in fine print, but music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for. It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it,” the songstress added.
