According to news from AFP. On 30/9, about 25,000 people took to the streets, burning at least five Buddhist temples and hundreds of Buddhist house in the town of Ramu and nearby areas, Dhaka 350 km, as a image is said to be anti-Islam appeared on Facebook.

The rebels accused of a male Buddhist posting photos defame the Koran of Islam on Facebook.

Town government Ramu called the Buddhist people should not be large gatherings in public places.

AFP said the conflict between Buddhism and Islam are very rare in Bangladesh, where 1% of the population are Buddhists.
