Holly Valance is a married woman. The “Kiss Kiss” singer said “I Do” to her billionaire beau, Nick Candy, in a lavish ceremony this weekend.
According to reports, 29-year-old Holly Valance and Nick Candy's luxuriant wedding took place in Beverly Hills and the nuptials were just a small part of their planned three-day celebration weekend.
The bride opted for a very extravagant white gown, which had a full feathers skirt, tight-fitting bodice and a vintage veil that trailed behind her down the aisle. She carried a red bouquet. The British property tycoon, on the other hand, looked incredibly dapper in a tuxedo.
According to the Herald Sun, the wedding invitations were hand-delivered and the couple referred to themselves as “Valandy” on the cards. Reportedly, some of the bigwigs of show business, including Simon Cowell and Elton John, and friends and family of the happy couple were present at the glorious Californian wedding.
Guests were seen arriving at the venue in black mini buses, and a Rolls Royce, which reportedly carried the “X Factor” guru around.
The pair reportedly hosted a rehearsal dinner in Malibu on Friday night ahead of the elaborate affair. According to sources, the newly-weds will have an informal “recovery” barbecue on Sunday, as they are in no rush to put an end to the celebration.
Wealthy property developer Nick Candy proposed to Holly Valance in December while on holiday in the Maldives for Christmas. Reportedly, 38-year-old Candy popped the all-important question to his beloved on a beach getting down on bended knee in front of a display that read "Will You Marry Me" in flames.
Although the former “Strictly Come Dancing” star was getting hitched to the most eligible guy, Holly Valance confessed that she almost dumped Nick Candy for being too rich when they first started seeing each other.
The former “Neighbors” star said, “(When we first started dating) I rang my mum and said ‘I don’t think I can do this because it’s just too much.’ And she said ‘You can’t hold that against the man.’ The wealth and the lifestyle were overwhelming initially. I was used to razzle dazzle and meeting lots of famous people, but I wasn’t used to super-yachts and private jets. It was like ‘Wow! I am a spoilt brat.’”
Earlier this year, Holly Valance revealed that she was delaying plans to walk down the aisle so that the couple could enjoy the Olympics ceremony and Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee in the UK.
