Trainer Pennsylvania. A hit and run accident that kills a man in the 4300 block of West 9th Street in Trainer Pennsylvania killed a man who was in his 70s in his Delaware mobile home that was damaged. The police went searching for the driver that killed the man and injured two others.
Neighbors said the man who died was sitting in front of their home with two other men when a handyman who was got into his truck and crashed into the group.
Trainer Borough Police Chief Fran Priscopo said "The victim was actually pushed under the trailer."
The two other men were not injured.
Neighbors told NBC10 Claudia Rivero the victim who died was in his 70s and had served in the Vietnam War.
The accident also damaged another home of another man.
Priscopo said the police used K 9 units to search for the alleged driver who fled the area on foot. He found was found 45 minutes later by the police near the woods.
Priscopo said "He actually contracted a friend who let us know where he was and he told us he wanted to surrender."
Police did not release the name of the deceased until all of his relatives are notified. The police are investigating if the handyman driver was drunk or under the influence of drugs when the accident happened.
