Police chased three men in an alley and fatally shot one in the 700 block of Anna Drive 4p.m. Saturday, Anaheim police Sgt. Dunn said. A crowd of as many as 400 people soon gathered but were dispersed by police. The wounded man was dead at hospital 6 pm and a group of people reassembled near East La Palma Avenue and Anna Drive. Police had objects thrown at them officers attempted to detain those people, a group attempted to encircle the officers,'' he said. ``We used pepper balls and non-lethal shotguns.``During that time, one of our K-9 officers was assisting, and the K-9 came out of the vehicle,'' Dunn said. ``Officers were able to get the K-9 back into the vehicle, and we don't know how many, if any, people were bitten while resisting police.''
