Nina Ricci Spring/Summer 2013 debuts at Paris Fashion Week

French fashion house of Nina Ricci presented its Spring/Summer 2013 collection in a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, held at the Espace Ephemere Tuileries on September 27, 2012 in Paris.

It is seldom that a fashion show has merit simply because of the uniqueness of the shoes that were used to accessorize the clothing. But one must say that the transparent and barely-there vamps on the shoes by Nina Ricci which give focus to the colorful soles are definitely worth a mention for this Nina Ricci Spring/Summer 2013 collection…

Nina Ricci’s clothes in this collection are also playful, using a broad color palette to include blush pink, pearl grey, navy, silver, gold, jade, red and lilac and featuring embellishments such as polka dots and tinsel…

Handbags are created to look like gathered paper bags that was cinched and then rolled over to create a short of flap that has a slim metallic bar for a clasp.

The blush pink shoulderbag with a gunmetal chain and golden clasp is a fave. And the blush pink semi-sheer retro style dress with three-quarter sleeves that this bag accessorizes is quite lovely, even with its unusual silver tinsel trim at the hem…

That silver tinsel trim that makes us think of Christmas trees, is also featured on a silver cropped jacket that tops a silver satin skirt that is paired with a polka dotted silver grey top.

More polka dots appear on a candy apple red dress with long sleeves and side slit that is teamed with black fishnet stockings as well as a blush pink chiffon number that is perked up with black spots.

Another red dress, past the knees and in chiffon, has interesting crocheted three-quarter sleeves and a fringe at the neckline.

Shaggy fringed skirts also seem to be creeping back in style for next spring on already spotted on starlets at red carpet film premieres. Nina Ricci offers a playful blush pink one…

What looks like a marabou feather silver grey coat will complete any simple outfit with style.

And then for something completely different is the gold skirt suit with a pink shimmer that the model played up with a little pink handbag! Or perhaps the silver suit is more your style…
