Los Angeles Califorina. The Los Angeles Dodgers officials announced on Wednesday Dodgers catcher A J Ellis, 31, has been voted by uniformed members of the team to win the seventh annual Roy Campanella Award which is named in memory of the late Hall Of Fame catcher.
The award is given to the Dodgers player who best leads by example the spirit of leadership of the late Dodgers catcher.
Joni Camapnella Roan who is the daughter of the late Hall Of Fame catcher will present the award to Ellis before Saturday's night game at Dodgers Stadium versus the Colorado Rockies.
Previous Dodger players to win the awards that started in 2007 are(2007), James Loney (2008), (2009), (2010), (2011) and A J Ellis (2012).
