Pakistani bounty placed on anti-Islam filmmaker

Anyone who kills the creator of an online video which insults Islam, a $100,000 reward is offered by a Pakistani minister on Saturday, as random protests rumbled on across parts of the Muslim world.

Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmad Bilour was quoted as saying, "I announce today that this blasphemer, this sinner who has spoken nonsense about the holy Prophet, anyone who murders him, I will reward him with $100,000. I invite the Taliban brothers and the al Qaeda brothers to join me in this blessed mission."

The Pakistan government is disassociating itself from the minister’s announcement, a spokesman for Pakistan's prime minister said.

On Friday, many Muslim countries saw mostly peaceful protests, however there were fifteen people killed in Pakistan during demonstrations over the video.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a 55-year-old California man is said to be the filmmaker of an amateurish 13-minute clip of which was posted in YouTube has not returned to his home in the Los Angeles suburb of Cerritos since leaving voluntarily to be questioned by federal authorities. Nikoula and his family have gone into hiding.
