Jim Furyk

It's Jim Furyk on Day 3 as Tour Championship 2012 on PGA Tour Leaderboard live coverage of the last FedEx Cup playoff continues at East Lake. Jim Furyk might have this chance to win, in his dismayed career performance this year. He almost won at the WGC-Bridgestone International but collapsed on the last day.

Furyk led the pack with strings of 3s in his scorecard and now sits a stroke up (-7) on top of the leaderboard going into Saturday weekend. Inspired by McIlroy's comment, "I heard a comment from Rory [McIlroy] yesterday saying that, you know, you've got to get the ball on the fairway [at East Lake]," Furyk said. "If you don't, life's tough. I felt like yesterday for how little I got the ball on the fairway, to get it around 1‑under was pretty good. So today I was able to get the ball on the fairway and attack a little more, and it showed in my scores."

Furyk put himself in position to continue what he's been doing to lead the Tour Championship until Sunday. There's no room for error since Ryan Moore, Brandt Snedeker and the steady Justin Rose are all closing in his tail. Tiger Woods is trailing not that far, so as Rory McIlroy.

So far Furyk ables to hold the lead with strings of 4s for par this time with just one birdie in the 3rd round Saturday. Check Jim Furyk scorecard.

Hole/Rnd 2 - 1/3, 2/3, 3/3, 4/3, 5/3, 6/3, 7/3, 8/4, 9/4, 10/3, 11/3, 12/4, 13/5, 14/4, 15/4, 16/5, 17/3, 18/4 = Total 64
