The Tour Championship 2012 on PGA Tour Leaderboard live coverage Day 2 is underway at East Lake. Rory McIlroy downplayed that he is Tigers's intimidator in this PGA Tour series as Greg Norman has suggested last Wednesday press breifing.

The Northern Irelander replied, “How can I intimidate Tiger Woods? I mean, the guy’s got 75 or 70-whatever (actually 74) PGA Tour wins, 14 majors … I mean, he’s been the biggest thing ever in our sport. How could some little 23-year-old from Northern Ireland with a few wins come up and intimidate him? It’s just not possible.”

The auto-suggestion didn't get under the skin of Tiger Woods as he starts strong in Round 1 on top at the Tour Championship last FedEx Cup playoff. McIlroy got up and down eventually ending par-3 18th hole for a 69 tied at 12 spot along side with Phil Mickelson, Justin Johnson and Sergio Garcia at the start of second round. McIlroy is trying to make history the first player since Woods in 2006 with three straight PGA Tour events wins in the same season.

Having winning two FedEx Cup playoff in the Deutsche Bank Championship and the BMW Championship, McIlroy is in the verge of history of winning the Tour Championship and the same time winning the FedEx Cup title as well. Thoughout the PGA Tour series Tiger Woods has pattern of starting strong in the early rounds and fading on Sunday finale, while McIlroy is the reverse.

McIlroy started the second round at 12th place by bagging his only birdie at 6th hole and an eagle at 15th with just one bogey. On McIlroy scorecard he is tied at 7th.

Hole/Rnd 2 - 1/4, 2/3, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/2, 7/4, 8/4, 9/5, 10/4, 11/3, 12/4, 13/4 , 14/5, 15/3, 16/4, 17/4, 18/3 = Total 68

Jim Furyk barged on top of the Tour Championship leaderboard at the end of second round with 9 birdies shot 6- of the day and finished 7-under 64
