Eintracht Frankfurt won its fourth game in four starts in the 2012/13 Bundesliga and has moved on top of the league. In a thriller, Frankfurt defeated 1.FC Nuernberg 2:1, with goals by Erwin Hoffer (25th minute) and Takashi Inui (60th minute), in its second away game this season.

Frankfurt hasn't been on the top of the league for 13 years, when the team was on the top after matchday two in the 1999/2000 season. In the end Frankfurt placed 14th.

Frankfurt startet the game with a couple of injuries, when its Captain Pirmin Schwegler had to be replaced due to a head injury and a few minutes later in the 21st minute Occean had to be replaced by Erwin Hoffer, who quickly scored the go ahead goal for the Frankfurters.

After Oczipkas corner, the third for Frankfurt, Nuernberg cleared the pass toward the goal. Frankfurth, however recoverd the ball, and passed the ball to Hover, who was positioned in the penalty area. Hoffer took the bull by the horn and fired the ball into the net, giving Frankfurt the 1-0 lead.

Despite the injuries, Frankfurt gave a stronger performance than Nuernberg, although the Franken held pace.

Takashi Inui doubled the score for the Frankfurt side in the 60th minute. With ball along the left side he moved along the penalty area and outmaneouvered three Nuernber players before firing the ball into the net, giving Frankfurt the 2-0 lead, with his second goal of the season.

Kyotaki, another noteworth Japanese player on the Nuernberg side, with a work ethic, second to none, took a freekick from the midfield in the 76th minute, placing it into the penalty area. Polter was in place, jumped and put the ball away with a header, narrowing the score to 2-1.

In the end it wasn't enough and Frankfurt walked away with the three points. The win not only gave Frankfurt four wins in four starts, but made it the most successful newly promoted club of all time in the Bundesliga.

FC Bayern is the only club that can push off the front spot, when the Bayern meet Schalke 04 tomorrow. Bayern still has a three goal advantage from its first three wins.
