Accident on the Los Angeles Blue Line

My train hit someone today, the blue line at Vernon Station. The train hit someone. I think it was a pedestrian, people murmured about a drunk but no could know, you couldn't see anything at all. No one felt it, so i don't think it could have been a car, what is the measure of a human being against a hulking monster of iron and steel? We stopped and the conductor came on telling everyone to remain calm. Telling himself to remain calm. At least two lives changed forever, and most people restless and angry only at the delay. Death today, or something close to it. There's still no news on the internet.

In a day of bigger tragedies, this small story touched me. How hard it must have been for you and other caring people on the train to have this happen. I feel for the people who were so busy they couldn't spare a thought for those involved in the incident. I hope the conductor is able to see his way clear to continue to work. Being involved in an incident like this can change a person. I am glad that you cared enough to share it.
