Designer Frida Giannini held her Gucci Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show for Milan Womenswear Fashion Week on September 19, 2012 in Milan, Italy.
Gucci Spring/Summer 2013 offers a very broad and varied collection for women incorporating lots of pantsuits and pants ensembles, cocktail dresses and gowns as well as outerwear.
Giannini utilizes a color palette of jewel colors such as cobalt blue, jade green, hot pink, red and golden yellow as well as the neutrals of black and white. To that they’ve added some pretty floral and colorful reptile prints.
Far too many lovely designs offered in this Gucci collection to mention at this writing. Nevertheless some that stand out right now are the chrysanthemum prints in shades of blue, yellow and pink, the pink and green reptile print dresses and the cobalt pants ensemble with the butterfly sleeve top.
Gucci keeps its styling simple but indulges in unusual butterfly sleeves and long puffed sleeves to add interest to the elegant long lines.
Of their coats, the yellow trench coat with long cuffed sleeves and pointed collar is stunning all on its own and can be worn alone with a great pair of shoes. Throw on a scarf and a great pair of earrings and you’ll look simply terrific!
Included in the slideshow will be some close-ups of handbags, which are particularly lovely, including a jade green shoulderbag, a grey reptile shoulder bag and green clutch.
