The oral cavity is the most important part of the human body as all eatables and beverages come in contact with the oral cavity before entering the human body. The chances of infection and microbes entering the human body are also quite high. A latest research has revealed that the chances of pancreatic cancer may be increased due to the presence of an oral bacteria named Porphyromonas gingivalis. Pancreatic cancer is highly lethal. The chances of diagnosing pancreatic cancer are quite remote in its early stages. The presence of high antibodies in the human beings due to the presence of Porphyromonas gingivalis increases the chances of pancreatic cancer manifold. Pancreatic Cancer is responsible for more than 40,000 deaths in the US every year. Although this study has reported the link between pancreatic cancer and the bacteria Porphyromonas gingivalis. There have been studies that have reported a link between periodontal diseases and pancreatic cancer. This study is just an extension of the same study and has been reported in the journal Gut. According to a Michigan based dentist there are several diseases and microbes that are transmitted and inculcated in the oral cavity that are then led into the human body. Making sure that one does not allow any microbes to thrive in the oral cavity is quite simple. One just needs to follow a clean oral hygiene regimen by brushing and flossing the teeth twice a day. While talking to another Dentist in Sterling Heights it was outlined that the use of good quality mouth wash is another element that needs to be included in a clean oral hygiene regimen. The microbes that are not killed or remain in the oral cavity even after brushing and flossing can be get rid of with a good mouth wash. For overall health maintenance you need to take care of all your body parts and not only focus on the vital organs of the body. Make sure that you take ample care of your oral cavity as this is not a vestigial organ.
