Nhl Lockout Vlog 1

The National Hockey League has cancelled 61games through to and including September 30. Some of the players are signing contracts to play in Europe for the duration of the lockout. Ottawa's Jason Spezza has signed with Rapperswil-Jona of the Swiss Elite League while Joe Thornton and Rick Nash will play with Davos. Evgeni Malkin will rejoin his old team the Metallurg Magnitogorsk as will Ottawa's Sergei Gonchar and Toronto's Nikolai Kulemin. Washington's Alexander Ovechkin will play for his old KHL team, Dynamo Moscow. Ovechkin said that "if the league continues to insist on their demands, then it will take a full year. That's because we are not going to cave in. Then I will spend the entire year in the KHL. It's an absolute reality." The last work stoppage resulted in the entire 2004-05 season being cancelled.
