Muhammad cartoons: Washington questioned the "judgment" of Charlie Hebdo

White House casts doubt on the decision of the weekly ... while reiterating its support for freedom of the press. The White House has challenged the decision Wednesday to the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo to publish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, while stressing that nothing could justify violence. "We have questions about the judgment that led to publish such things," said the spokesman of President Barack Obama, Jay Carney. He also stressed Washington's support for freedom of the press and warned that the cartoons "not justified (I) ent in any violence."
