10th Y4IT Congress @ The University of the Philippines Diliman: Dubbed as The "Greatest IT Event In the Country and Maybe Someday in Asia"- Johan Janssens

MANILA, PHILIPPINES- Heading on its Eleventh season the 10th Youth on Information Technology Congress that culminated last Saturday in multi venues at the University of the Philippinesin Diliman -- was dubbed as 'the greatest IT Event in the country and its well on its way to becoming the largest in Asia".

Johan Janssens said this during a Tete a tete with IT Operations Head for UP ITDC, Paulo Paje.

Janssens who worked the crowd during his six day Lecture and speakership was awed by the event's "IT influence" on Students who came from the NCR, CAR,Pangasinan, Visayas and Mindanao respectively..

He is looking forward to the 11th Y4IT Congress and is thinking of flying in his friends from Belgium to Lecture and Discuss new trends next year.

Among our Foreign Guest speakers were: Terrence Masson Founder of Digital Fauxtography, Craig Covey Founder of Cobra Tech, Kevin Leversee co founder of startupdragons.com and Bryan Bajema of networklabs to name a few.

Home Grown speakers were: Arturo "Kee" Lacanilao III, Software Developer of UP ITDC, talked about User Experience, Chris Salvatierra both from project e-UP and Jasmine Malinao of Project Fujitso 10, Renmin Villanueva of Spinweb talked about Careers in Web Development and Drupal, Illac Angelo Diaz of My Shelter Foundation and Prof Ariel Betan (UP, Manila), Lemuel Brana and Senator Aquilino Pimentel for His Keynote address.

The number of delegates has blown up to 28, 000 (walk-ins still un accounted for) compared to (9th Y4it) 26,000 delegates last year.
