A fashion collective named Fashion Fringe presented their Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show on day five of London Fashion Week at The Courtyard Show Space on September 18, 2012 in London, England.
Fashion Fringe was founded in 2004 by Colin McDowell in a collaboration with IMG Fashion to support emerging designers in greater London to keep them local to London!
Their focus is to encourage cutting edge design talent in the United Kingdom and in the past nine years, Fashion Fringe has helped to launch more than seventeen designers.
Fashion Fringe’s annual project culminates with the Fashion Fringe catwalk fashion show that takes place during London Fashion Week in September.
For Spring/Summer 2013, Fashion Fringe is showcasing designers Vita Gottlieb, Teija Eilola and Haizhen Wang.
Vita Gottlieb takes quite the avant-garde approach presenting some truly unusual pieces including cone-covered capelets, crinkle-pleats and a draped tulip shaped skirt in shades of luscious red, teal, gold, beige and brown.
TEIJA by Teija Eilola embraces a muted color palette of grey, taupe, black, white and brown to present a collection that incorporates comfort as much as it does style.
Haizhen Wang goes for edgier pieces that celebrate an Asian esthetic in bright colors such as cobalt blue in conjunction with neutrals grey, black and white.
Attending the Fashion Fringe Spring/Summer 2013 show were Lydia Bright, Amber Atherton, Jodie Kidd and Olivia Grant.
