Memo to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell: It is time to settle with the officials. Week 2 with the replacement referees featured so many blown calls that it left the coaches, players AND us fans scratching our heads. We saw phantom holding and roughing calls. Pass interference calls that were missed and illegal contact down the field that was just plain ignored. There were interference calls when the receiver was not even touched. On the flip side there were non calls when receivers were being mugged. There will always be errors...human error is just a part of the game but the NFL simply cannot let this continue. Some great match-ups in week two were overshadowed by the replacement referees. For the integrity of the game, for the players, coaches and the fans...get back to the negotiating table and fix this now. Update: Just when you thought it could not get any worse...it did. The Monday night game between Atlanta and Denver should have been a great match-up. The officiating crew constantly sought help from the sideline and upstairs and destroyed the flow of the game. Commissioner Goodell, fix this now!
