Usher and Shakira are under media attention as they replace Cee Lo and Christina next season on ‘The Voice’. The news was confirmed by Washington Post for fans of the Voice. Usher and Shakira are looking forward to their stint on the show. They will have to live up to their fans expectations and also outperform Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera in the upcoming season.

Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will be accompanying the stars on the fourth season. NBC is hoping to get more prime time ratings for the show with the addition of these big stars in the judge’s panel. NBC has been struggling with the rating perhaps which is why it has run “The Voice” year-round first in the summer of 2011, then in the spring of 2012, and now this fall, where it opened last week with an average of 12.3 million viewers, beating Fox’s returning “X Factor".

NBC also announced that celebrity Aguilera and Green will be making a comeback to the show next year. This means they will most probably be coming back to the show next fall as Usher and Shakira are going to make their debut early next year.

Christina Aguilera and Green couldn’t juggle with their own commitments and The Voice so they had to take a leave. Apparently Aguilera is releasing a new album and going on tour while Green is “developing new music,” as well as scripted comedy series for the network based on his life. Aguilera also talked about finding it hard to giving proper time to her own music hence she couldn’t continue. In a statement posted by the Washington Post she said, “By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on ‘The Voice’ in the future.”

Green also thanked his fans who supported his decision. He said, “Thank you NBC for supporting my decision to take this season four hiatus!” He further added “It says that I’m seen and respected as a complete artist and not just a cast member.”

NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt talked about their momentary exit from the show. He said, “Doing two back-to-back cycles on this show requires a tremendous amount of time, and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo. The participants on our show benefit from the coaches’ expertise and their continued success in the music business allows for significant new contributions to the contestants when.
