On the “American Idol” judging panel it needs a larger space ‘cause there just isn’t enough room for two leviathan divas, according to reports Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are already at each other’s throats.

Well you see, during the first taping on Sunday in New York, the two superstars “went at it,” according to TMZ, with both trying to debate each other. What really happened on that Sunday, Nicki started her commentary on a contestant, and Mariah would interrupt, forcing both women to try and talk over each other, the gossip site reported.

In the face of attempts to polish over the rivalry, a source said, “These girls just don’t like each other.”

It was reported earlier that Mariah had the thinking that she was going to be the only female on the judging panel, and when producers phoned her to inform her Nicki would be joining them, she hung up the phone.

It was revealed last week Nicki’s deal was finally done to join Mariah on the panel, along with country star Keith Urban.
