Time for US to draw the line in the Middle East

The Israeli Prime Minister went on television today and stated that President Obama and the U.S. government needed to stand up for their allies and draw a line in the sand that could not be crossed. He stated that it was past time for the U.S. to back their long time ally, Israel, as well as stand up to our long time adversary, Iran.

It has been well-publicized that Obama did not have "time" for a meeting with the prime minister because he was scheduled for a fund-raiser in Nevada. Unfortunately for Obama, the priorities of the United States this past week have resulted in questionable decisions that cost American lives in the Mideast.

Sept. 11 has been considered a date on which to always been wary since the attack on the New York City Twin Towers in 2001. It is beyond comprehension why our well-trained agents would ignore credible threats aimed at this same date, but that is exactly what happened this week as Muslim extremists attacked our embassies abroad and even killed our ambassador to Lybia. We are now faced with threats to civilian and embassy personnel in all of these Mideast countries. We have advised travelers to come home immediately and not linger. Non-essential personnel have been avised to return home for the time being. Some embassies have been closed and are considering closing because of ongoing protests and threats. It is time to consider the threats and actions of these people serious enough to warrant a show of strength response and not a weak lip service reply.

We cannot continue to fund these countries when they wish to harm our people. Reporters who wish to blame the radical preacher who once threatened to burn a pile of Qurans for these actions in response to a YouTube video most protestors did not even see have to realize that these extremists do not and will not ever accept our way of life as a "right." It is their wish to make radical Islam the one religion in the world. They are not interested in peace because they have always lived with and for war. We are at war with radical Islam and we will continue to be victimized by these people unless we stand up for what we believe in and fight back.
