Ashford & Simpson - It Seems to Hang On

Let’s share our secret with this crystal stream

To share with flowers how I love you so

And they’ll scent the breeze so it too will know

Which takes to the clouds just how lovers dream

-

Then all of our Joy clouds write across sky

Which stars in our heaven twinkle to see

Their whispers the moon glows to set free

As worlds on fire now echoes in reply

-

Soon flames of sheer passion spread far and wide

As fields of surrender are kissed by its flow

And we are engulfed by all that we know

Once sitting by stream now lost in this tide

-

But maybe someday we’ll wake from this dream

Let’s share our secret with this crystal stream
