Democrats and Republicans are now vigorously pursuing the campaigns after their respective national conventions had been over one after the other. Divergence between Democrat re-election candidate President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney is becoming more evident and widened as the election month gets closer. This is due to the soundness of government programs the candidates respectively propose. Also, the character and values the candidates exhibit and as perceived by the voters.

There is closer convergence between Obama and the American voters because of the workability and vialibity of his platforms of governance for the next four years for all Americans. Obama is being like because of his humility and sincerity to serve the cause of the American Union. Obama is the president of poor and rich, white and colored Americans. Obama possesses the credentials, experiences and moral ascendancy to be re-elected which make Americans to converge towards him.

Yes, there is convergence between Romney and 1% of America only. There is wide divergence between Romney and the poor and middle classes of America. They doubt Romney’s sincerity to serve their lot. He is more for the rich Americans being one of them and a defender of Wall Street.

May the American voters ultimately decide and resolve on November 06, 2012 the convergence and divergence taking place in America due to the 2012 US presidential elections.
