AMB. Chris Stevens poses with Ghadafi's dead body

The rare photo of Christopher Stevens, killed U.S ambassador in Benghazi, Libya, posing raising his thumb over the dead corpse of Muammar Ghadafi has spread widely on Libyan, Tunisian and Egyptian facebook pages. It reminded many of the horrible photos of Abu Gharib's prison in Irak, years earlier, where US marines posed perversely with corpses of Iraki dead prisoners, or even alive.

The strange, morbid parallel between this photo and his own photo being carried dead in Benghazi streets has been expressed in this photo collage.

The strange, morbid coincidence that both men died in the same way, killed by the same hardline extremist militia in Libya is striking.

The american administration had employed these Al Qaeda extremist groups to overthrow Ghadafi regime, then favored the rise to power of islamist forces in Tunisia and Egypt. Finally, the US goernment is remaking the same policy in Sirya, in order to everthrow Basha Al assad's regime. ie: supporting and making alliance with violent armed groups.
