USA and Venezuela, Bolivia expel each other's ambassadors as VE hosts Russian bombers

It started yesterday when Morales, Bolivia's president accused the US ambassador Phillip Goldberg of involvement or complicity with the terrorist bombing of natural gas pipelines to Brasil. The US in turn expelled the Bolivian ambassador. Venezuelan Hugo Chávez, always ready to stir the pot, has given the US ambassador to his country 72 hours to leave.

Last weekend Chavez announced a series of war games excercises with Russia, including long-range bomber planes, missile-equipped sea vessels and anti-submarine escorts. The bombers arrived today and the vessels will arrive in early November.

Thanks for the story TT. This is indeed disturbing. Let's hope our administration handles this foreign relations situation well. Considering the players involved, it'll be challenging.
