Lake Forest Illinois. The Chicago Bears on Monday signed offensive tackle Jonathan Scott and defensive tackle Nate Collins was reinstated to the active roster.
The Chicago Bears released punter Ryan Quigley, terminated the practice team contract of offensive tackle Cory Brandon and signed tight end Dedrick Epps to the practice team.
Scott played the last two football seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before being released in July. Scott signed on with the team that drafted him in 2006 the Detroit Lions before he was but he was released by the team when he injured his knee. Scott said he is healthy now.
Collins was placed on the reserve/suspended list after the National Football League suspended him in July for the opening game versus the Indianapolis Colts for violation of the league's substance abuse program.
