Yesterday, about 3,500 people were protesting in honor of the thousands of victims that died under the oppressive Pinochet regime. The demonstration included a march to the General Cemetery in Santiago.
However, the protest took a violent turn when some of the protesters began to build barricades in the street, light fires, and throw rocks at the police.
In response, the Chilean police made sure that this protest ended in a quick fashion. The police brought out the tear gas, water cannons, along with the coup de grace being paintball guns. From the video, you can see that the police was rather effective.
