The NCAAF scores are in and there's no doubt the No. 1 spot of College Football Power Ranking Week 2 belongs to Alabama based on their terrific performance against then No. 9 Michigan and Western Kentucky. Michigan is no doubt better team than Hawaii in which USC Trojans defeated in Week 1 opener. The week 2 AP ranking also dropped Michigan to No. 19 from the top 10 on week 1 and wipe out Boise State from top 25 in favor of Notre Dame.
Alabama bolstered their No. 1 ranking of their 2012 NCAA College Football power ranking week 2 in 35-0 blanker over Western Kentucky. Quarterback AJ McCarron kicked off his Heisman Trophy campaign as the No.1 contender in throwing four touchdowns.
Week 2 also registers huge upsets of top 25 teams, No. 18 Oklahoma State was routed by Arizona 38-59 while UCLA Bruins wins in a squeaker over No. 16 Nebraska 36-30. No.13 Wisconsin lost to Oregon State 10-7 and another huge upset as N0.8 Arkansas lost to Louisiana-Monroe in a 31-34 thriller. The No. 1 to No.7 teams all dominates their opponents by huge margins except the Razorbacks which will slide from top 10.
The College Football Power Ranking Week 3 starts with Crimson Tide as N0.1 and capped it with Arkansas at No. 25. Why? Since backup tight end Garrett Uekman death and coachfiring in April, it's a huge setback for the team. Plus Arkansas will face tough opponent Alabama next week.
1.(2) Alabama 2-0 There is no stoping of Alabama quarterback by throwing 4 touchdowns making 14 out of 19 attempts getting 219 yards. Crimson Tide shutdown their defense by just allowing the Hilltoppers 49 rushing yards compared to 102 by Alabama. The Tide's will visit and play Arkansas Razorback on week 3, Sep 15, at Arkansas. Both team last last meeting was Sep 24, last year with 38-14 Alabama victory.
2.(1)USC 2-0 Matt Barkley put up a clinic with six touchdown passes for 187 yards. Robert Woods has 10 catches and two TD's, as No. 2 USC travels East in 42-29 victory against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday. USC will face Pac 12 rival Stanford which sets up a marquee game on Week 3.
3.(3)LSU 2-0 LSU running backs pounded thefor a 41-3 victory Saturday night. Tigers has an easy assignment against winless Idaho on week 3.
4.(4)Oregon 2-0 Running back Kenjon Barner scored late in the fourth quarter to bolster No. 4 Oregon's 42-25 victory over persistent Fresno State on Saturday. Ducks will play Tennessee Tech on Week 3
5.(5)Oklahoma 2-0 Damien Williams has 89-yard touchdown run and finished with 156 yards rushing and four scores powering No. 5 Oklahoma to a 69-13 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday night. Sooners will play Kansas State on week 3, they won 58-17 in their last meeting in 2011.
6.(6)Georgia 2-0 Aaron Murray has three touchdown passes as the Bulldogs recovered from a shaky start with 32 second-half points that spoiled Missouri's SEC debut in a 41-20 victory Saturday night. The Bulldogs plays Florida Atlantic on week 3
7.(7)Florida State 2-0 Florida State routs Savannah State 55-0. Seminoles will play Wake Forest on week 3. They lost 30-35 last year.
