Designer Jill Stuart presented her Spring 2013 collection in a fashion show at the Stage, at Lincoln Center on September 8, 2012 in New York City for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The Jill Stuart Spring 2013 collection offers a palette of neutrals such as white, ivory and black but also a range of peach and nude ensembles.
Of particular note are their nude pink satin dress with an apricot bow at the neckline and the apricot hued dress with pink flowers, topped off with a matching cropped jacket with full lapels.
Favorites in this spring collection will no doubt include Jill Stuart’s ivory trench coat that is like a hip-length safari jacket with full, cuffed sleeves, single button closure and four pockets with flaps.
There’s also a knee-length trench coat in ivory for full coverage, cut similarly.
A black lace knee length dress with three-quarter sleeves and a scooped neckline that barely skims the shoulders, featuring a nude background is particularly lovely. The cream lace gown with a floral motif isn’t bad either…
Something quite unique to this collection is a semi-sheer ivory colored plaid that features in designs such as three-quarter sleeve fitted dresses that could be topped off with their full-length ivory trench coat.
For next Spring, Jill Stuart also has a red carpet worthy silver sequin gown that harkens back to Hollywood’s Golden Age, 1930’s/1940’s, that on the model looked statuesque, if one is blessed with over average height.
Of Jill Stuart’s admirers are actressand designer Kelly Bensimon, who were present today at the fashion show.
There are far too many gorgeous creations by Jill Stuart to enumerate here so please see for yourselves in my slideshow and thanks for visiting along with me…
