The royal grapevine, since past eight months or so has been abuzz with rumors about Britain’s Duchess Kate expecting her first child as also other baby-related speculation from world over. Poor Catherine who is ‘really hurtful’ by these rumors must have just stopped reading the newspapers or checking out any gossip columns on the web.
In addition to the usual “baby bump sighting” articles coming out with regular frequency in the media, one publication has now claimed to know what the Duchess will be calling her baby and surmising that her choice of name will leave the aging monarch incensed.
Reportedlywill be “shocked” to know that the Duchess of Cambridge is thinking of naming her future daughter, after her late mother-in-law, Diana, the Princess of Wales.
According to an unsubstantiated report in Star magazine, (Sept. 17 issue) a pregnant Kate is gaining ‘mommy weight and loving it’ and that she has already chosen a baby name and if she has her own way in future, seated on the British throne would be a ‘Queen Diana.’
The US magazine claims a source told them the decision may well “shock the Queen” due to the royals' unsavory history with the Princess of Wales, who was killed in a car crash in 1997 in Paris. But reportedly Duchess Kate is determined to honor her late mother-in-law, considering how sentimental hubby Wills is about his mother.
The report goes on to speculate that a little replica of Wills and Kate is well on its way, sooner than royal watchers think. The source, in-fact, claimed that the Duchess is officially pregnant and even claimed to know when and where the Royal ‘baby’ was conceived.
The inside source claimed: “A woman can always tell when the earliest signs appear, and it’s believe that a passionate night together at their rented country house on an estate in Wales, just after the end of the London Olympics, did the trick.”
Wow, that is one really close source. But, seriously how can anyone possibly know when exactly Wills and Kate’s baby was conceived (if it really has been?). One can well understand the soft-hearted Duchess’ desire to honor her husband’s late mother by naming her first born after her.
But it seems highly unlikely Kate will go to the extent of offending the Queen, when it’s no secret, the latter, never really got along with Lady Diana during her lifetime. Besides, doubt the diplomatic Duchess will upset the applecart when she gets along so well with Queen.
Why would she want to get into the Queen’s bad books by controversially naming her first born after Lady Diana? First let’s wait and see whether Kate will have a lovely girl or a cute baby boy, the name will be taken care of later in any case.
