Carmel Indiana. Professional Golf Association (PGA) golfer Steve Stricker with a hole in one at the Crooked Stick golf course on Friday in the second round of the BMW Championship.
Stricker hit his hole in one shot on the sixth tee par 3 which is 198 yards of distance.
Stricker scored a one over par 73 on Friday which put his two round score in the tournament at 3 under par.
Stricker said "It was about the only highlight of the day. It was hard to see go in...all we would see was the reaction from the crowd as by the green."
Stricker has three hole in one recorded in his career with the PGA Tour. His first hole in one happened in 1997 at the Waste Management Tournament Phoenix Open and in 2011 at the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance.
BMW will donate for every hole in one $100,000 to the Evans Scholars Foundation which gives full tuition and housing scholarships to deserving young caddies.
Stricker said "It's nice to win some money for the Evans Scholars. Got to meet a lot of the kids over the years through this event...It's a good cause for a deserving kid."
That is called finding the silver lining from a dark cloud in a golf tournament.
