The recent reaction of nature to the actions of humans has led us to rethink and search for innovative solutions in order to harmonise our lifestyle with that of nature.

In Russia 171 people died due to the recently caused floods, so is the case in Assam in India where many have been displaced due to the floods caused in Brahmaputra. The numbers of floods have proportionally increased in the present century, so are the tsunamis and earthquakes. The tsunami that hit Japan last year left the country devastated and it has still not fully recovered from the nuclear reactor disaster that was caused due to the massive tsunami. It is none other than the nature’s reaction to the man’s actions. The time has come for us to bring a fundamental change in our lifestyle in order to synchronise it with nature. What steps and measures can we as a citizen adapt to bring about a healthy change that will also benefit nature?

Deforestation has brought about landslide and flooding, so it is necessary to avoid cutting of trees. Along with that we can plant trees and build kitchen gardens around our houses. You can buy images of the trees and plants that could be planted around in the urban areas. The trees will not only purify the air around us but also the kitchen garden will supply with the fresh organic vegetables for our homes. The increasing consumption of electricity by our household applications has directly increased the use of non-renewable resources like coal. The simple way would be to use CFL lights instead of incandescent bulbs, which tend to consume more units of electricity and also heat up fast.

You can buy exclusive images of CFL lights available in the market in order to purchase the one which suits best to your requirements. Petrol and diesel requirement has drastically increased with increase the increase in the number of vehicles and will continue to do so, until and unless a renewable resource is invented. Till that happens, if we can switch our vehicles off on the signals and use cycles for short distance or take walk would definitely bring about a change in a small way and also keep us fit and healthy. Also wherever possible we can share a vehicle in order to reduce the pollution they cause.

Air pollution is one of the major polluting factors affecting the environment, and in order to reduce it we can switch to CNG. To buy content related to other methods of reducing the pollution you can logon to environment oriented websites and blogs. Plastic has been the invention of the last century which has led to several negative impacts on the environment. It has also led to the extinction of many species due to its consumption. The use of plastic though reduced in the developed nations is still prevalent in the underdeveloped low economies where it is a cheap substitute to paper and jute.

You can buy news articles and understand the impact your lifestyle has on the environment through the carbon foot print created by you. Reducing carbon foot print will not only bring your lifestyle in harmony with nature but also bring economic benefits through the carbon trading that can be done on a larger scale. Rather than waiting for the nations to take policy changes, if we as inhabitants of this planet can take small steps, then definitely we can bring about the substantial changes in the world we habitat and make it a better place to live for our future generations.
