The Zambesi Autumn/Winter 2013 collection focuses on a color palette of black, grey, silver, to which it adds a little bit of girlish fun with a touch of pink, such as the pink dress that is embellished with a black lace trim, a smoky grey capelet and gold touches…
Silver and black plaid pants, long black coats and velvet tunics with tights were other retro elements to this offering by Zambesi, even if paired with silver penny loafers. Though the clunky black oxfords brought back memories as well…
The black trench coat had unusual buttons – three on each side positioned horizontally and the floppy lapels were an unusual touch as well!
Of the black dresses in this collection, one featured long thin fringes that looked like feathers, perhaps on the kiwi bird, the national bird of New Zealand…
Just when you think it’s all about black and grey, a selection of yellow and black checks appear in the way of a V-backed dress and separates as well as a pair of Capri length pants and a dress in a smudgy yellow, brown and cream print.
