Black vultures have become a major source of nuisance in Fort Myers, Florida.

They descend on the roofs of the houses in hers, litter the surroundings with droppings and feathers and even cause superficial damages on vehicles parked in driveways and kerbs.

Under the existing federal laws, these birds fall in the category of protected species and hence cannot be killed.

This has been reported in foxnews.com of dated the 2nd September 2012.

Dave and Judy Harting is one such couple whose life has become akin to living hell – they bought a house there and had been assured that vultures do not like human contact and once people move in, they would move out.

But – that has not happened.

They have tried all possible methods to frighten the birds away but have failed.

They seem to be waiting for a Pied Piper sort of person who can mesmerize the birds and make them move elsewhere.
