Louisville coming into this season ranked No. 25 in the AP poll and a preseason pick to win the Big East. Coach Charlie Strong credited about the program he has brought two years ago.

Louisville boast it's top defense that are "good down the middle" with center Mario Benavides and last year's Big East rookie of the year quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. All-Big East best in offense safety Hakeem Smith as the defensive anchor to replace Dexter Heyman. Juniors nose tackle Brandon Dunn and linebacker Preston Brown (84 tackles) return as starters.

But sophomores wide receiver Michaelee Harris will miss the season with tore the ACL in his left knee. Louisville won 24-17 against Kentucky on the road last Sept. 17 that highlights two TD's passes from Bridgewater.

Meanwhile Wildcats which finished 5-7 last season will be lead by sophomore quarterback Maxwell Smith, who threw for 819 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions in eight games last year. Smith will count on senior receiver La'Rod King who caught seven touchdowns and had 598 yards receiving last year.
