The heart of the Syrian capital today was again the target of several explosions, recorded near military buildings, while regime forces intensified their bombardment of rebel strongholds in the rest of the country .
Syrian state television said the explosion of two bombs in the neighborhood of Abu Rumaneh, in the heart of Damascus, near the headquarters of the General Staff, causing at least four wounded.
The blasts, claimed by the Syrian rebels, took place near a military checkpoint Mahdi Avenue, near the famous Umayyad Square.
the two explosions were simultaneous and a large plume of smoke rose over the neighborhood, home to embassies and important buildings of the Armed Forces.

In a statement, the brigade of rebel Free Syrian Army (SLA) in Damascus and its suburbs "Ahfad the rasul" (grandchildren of the Prophet) said the explosions tore through senior Syrian Armed Forces.

Earlier, the official news agency Sana reported the deaths of at least 15 people in the blast on Saturday night in a car bomb in Al Sbaineh area, on the outskirts of Damascus.
The car, a Suzuki, had been placed by "terrorists" with Muaz bin Jabal Mosque, near the Palestinian refugee camp of Al Sbaineh, according to the agency.
The bodies of those killed were butchered by the magnitude of the explosion, whose authenticity could not be verified.
