Immediately after accepting the nomination of the Republican Party to the post of the President of the USA, Mitt Romney has travelled to the state of Louisiana which had been hit by Hurricane Isaac.
Accompanied by Louisiana Governor, the 65-year-old President-hopeful went around Louisiana south of New Orleans to get a first-hand idea of the extent of devastation which had taken place.
It seems there were plans for Mitt Romney to campaign in Virginia but he opted to travel to the South on humanitarian grounds.
He probably remembered the criticism which George W Bush had to face for the sluggish response to the needs of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina seven years ago.
