Peshawar, September 1, 2012: At least eleven people were killed and nineteen including three children sustained injuries in a car bomb blast near a masjid in Atlas market matanai area of Peshawar on Friday. Six of the injured were in critical condition in the hospital sources said. The blast took place on Friday in a double cabin vehicle standing outside the market sources said killing 5 persons on the spot while 25 sustained injuries which were then shifted to near by hospital where 6 of them succumbed to injuries sources said. The blast damaged ten of the shops and near by houses partially. According to police officials about 35 to 40 kilo explosives was used in the blast which brought massive destruction. An FIR has been registered in police station matanai against the unknown miscreants of the incident. Police had closed Kohat road for traffic for some time.
