Peshawar, August 31 2012: Tariq Afridi, chief of banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) darra Adam khel chapter and key leader and commander, has been killed by his brother-in-law, a report said on Wednesday.

The report quoting sources said that Afridi was riding a horse when his brother-in-law shot him to death in Khyber Agency of the tribal region on Tuesday. They added that he was wanted to Peshawar police in several kidnapping cases including the Polish engineer.

“He had also been associated with Lashkar-e-Jhangwi (LeJ) in past,” the sources said.

On the other hand TTP spokesman Muhammad denied of his death and said that he is alive and performing his duties.
